Honoring Life Changes November 30, 2006

Filed under: Ancient Wisdom, Chakra, Spirituality/Self-Awareness, new age, spirituality, yoga — Aphinya Deley @ 11:59 pm

The Pitch:

When our life has been shift from one stage to others like getting married, having a baby, or changing careers all of these life changes most of the time bring up the feeling of fear. It will throw us off balance, make us feel uncertain and insecure, and we just can’t be peace with ourselves anymore.

The Possibility:

It helps if we can remember that life changing is valuable. It is the time to pay a good attention on yourself that you really want the new life these changes will bring.

Moreover, the purpose of the feeling of fear in this particular situation is to notify us that we are at the edge of our comfort zone, balanced in between the old life and a fresh one.  Whenever we face our fear, we overcome an inner obstacle and move into new and life-enhancing territory, both inside and out. The more we learn to respect and welcome fear, the more we will be able to touch and trust our inner wisdom.

Personal Practice:
You might wish to converse with your fear, plumbing its depths for a greater understanding of the change you are making. You could do this by sitting quietly in meditation and listening or by journaling. Writing down whatever comes up, your worries, your sadness, your excitement, your hopes, is a great technique to learn about yourself through the vehicle of fear and to remember that fear almost always comes alongside anything worth doing in your life.

Participated at Fashion Events November 26, 2006

Filed under: Jewelry, creation, creativity, design, fashion, handbags, handmade — Aphinya Deley @ 5:35 am

It seems like such a long time since last I wrote. My apology! I was preoccupied up by a couple of big fashion events here in Phoenix, Arizona. Allow me to share with you how it all went down.

Attapinya Fashion Show at Urban Affair’06Shortly after we promoted the Attapinya website with the Arizona Fashion Foundation, Attapinya was invited to participate in the show with Urban Affair Arizona on September 30, 2006. It was a pleasurable excitement to be one of only 17 designers in the show, all of whom we did not know. The show offered each of us a free booth to display and sell our products. Beginning with that generous offer, everything went just right; we were very surprised and thrilled to sell quite a lot of jewelry. The runway was fun, take a look at us here: cashakmagazine.com.

The first and second pictures are of our model, Christina Mitchell. It was such a delight to work with her; she is very kind, and takes her work seriously. Christina practiced very hard and did a great job on the catwalk. By the end of the day we all left with a happy-go-lucky feeling.

Attapinya Fashion Show at Labelhorde Fashion’06The second fashion show, called “Labelhorde Fashion”, was on November 11, 2006 with the Arizona Fashion Foundation. It was a big runway show with almost 60 local designers participating. The guests of honor included many members of press, magazines, and publishers, so there was plenty of spicy publicity… all the better for us! Christina and I traded ideas and practiced over and over again before the show began. As you can see from the photos cashakmagazine.com, the practice really paid off and Christina rocked! Overall, This event was fun. There were so many different vibes in the air — happy, nervous, curious, excited energies everywhere. We love it!

Attapinya also has a photo album from these two events to share with you all. Please visit Attapinya Private Album. Enjoy!!

Last but not least, Aphinya Deley will be going back to Thailand early next year to work on new jewelry and yoga bag designs. She will post them on the site as soon as they are ready.

We want to thank each and everyone of you again for your business, your support and your compliments. They mean so much to us. Take good care and have a wonderful holiday with your loved ones!! Until next time…

Going Through The Darkness November 4, 2006

The Pitch:
Sometimes we may wonder why we still face constrictive conflicts of all kinds — financial, emotional, physical — when we are working continuously to improve our spiritual connection and do good for the world. Perhaps we even feel as if we’ve lost our spirituality, stuck in a square room with no windows and no way out. Confusion and discouragement easily arise from what appears to be a lack of progress.

When things feel tight, it is easy to panic and spin our wheels mentally in an effort to find out why things are the way they are. We feel an urge to reject the feeling of constriction, to deny its place in the body and mind.

The Possibility:
Acceptance is the key to appreciation for the way things work. There is nothing we need to do at this time other than to be patient and perservering. We need to be aware that we are shifting from one stage of consciousness to another, and the more we surrender to the experience, the more quickly and easily we will move through the tightness. Indeed, surrender is the only possibility that leads to a fast transition since rejection and denial merely create more conflict.

If we trust the universe, we can find peace within ourselves when we endure the contractions. We can look to the natural world for inspiration as we see that all beings surrender to the process of birth.

Like a caterpillar that confines itself to a tiny cocoon before it grows wings and flies, we are experiencing the darkness before the dawn.
